Sabbatical for Professors
In each year, Sharif University of Technology approves sabbatical leave for some of its faculty members. Professors have the freedom to choose any top rank university in the world for his/her sabbatical leave. To strengthen cooperation between Sharif and its Russian partners, we encourage interested professors to choose one of the Russian top rank universities for this purpose. We in the international office can help you find an appropriate host professor in Russian universities for your sabbatical leave
Normally January of each year is the deadline for submitting your request for sabbatical leave to the vice rector of research along with the agreement letter of the host university.
University policy of compensation during your sabbatical leave is almost the same for different countries but you can enjoy:

As for short time sabbatical leave (one or two months), in addition to paying travel expense which is paid to faculty members by vice rector of research, we have a special support package (80 Million Rials) for those who choose Russian universities as their destination.
