Sharif - Japan Academic Cooperation
The most significant collaboration between Sharif University of Technology (SUT) and the Japanese universities began in 2000 when the MoU between the Sharif University of Technology and the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) in the presence of President Khatami in Tokyo Tech was signed by the presidency of the two universities. According to this memorandum, several professors traveled to the opposite university and joint research works were carried out. Also, Iranian and Japanese students exchanged between two universities for performing their researches.
The Waseda University is one of the most important Japanese universities currently associated with Sharif. The financial support of Mitsubishi International Corporation (Iran) to Sharif students led to several sabbatical leave for SUT graduate students attending Waseda University since 2015.
This page aims to give information about academic cooperation possibilities with Japanese universities for both students and professors.
