In spite of geographical and cultural closeness of Iran and Russia, unfortunately there is not a very significant scientific collaboration between two countries.

Sharif University of Technology since 2016 started expanding its cooperation with Russian universities. Since then Sharif allocated special budget for this purpose (with the help of vice presidency of science and technology) which enabled us to send delegations to several Russian universities, send students to summer schools in Russia and send PhD students for 6-month sabbatical in Russian universities, etc.

We are eager to strengthen our cooperation with our partner universities in Russia and we believe:
